Award winning director Joe Scudiero hails from Chicago's West Side, a delightfully gritty working class Italian neighborhood. As a young man Joe worked in his father's bakery where he developed an eye for special characters and an ear for the lively humorous jargon particular to everyday people. Assimilating all of this caused Joe to develop a singular style that has allowed his iconic spots to be shown all over the world. From the beloved JOEY BAG OF DOUGHNUTS spot for WLUP Radio to the famous Bud Light ads featured not only on the summer Olympics, but that holy grail for all advertisers, the Super Bowl as well. An Allstate Insurance spot that Joe shot in Mexico featuring Soccer superstar Paco Palencia was so popular throughout Central and South America, people repeatedly called their local television stations demanding to see this delightful ad over and over again. The trades and many of his colleagues have been unanimous in their praise for Joe's heartfelt style and ability to draw top performances not only from professional actors and celebrities, but common folk as well. This is what sets Joe Scudiero apart from everyone else. “I really do love people,” says Joe. “I have passion for film and what I feel is an interesting visual sense. Put me behind a camera and I am exactly where I am supposed to be.” Joe Scudiero currently directs commercials, independent films, and animation. He has also worked with famed fashion photographers Herb Ritts and Victor Skrebneski. |
